17!
I can't believe it! One more year and then I'll be heading off into new horizons. It's so weird to think about that next year at this time I'll be planning for college; just crazy! I thank the Lord for giving me so many opportunities to trust him this past year, especially issues concerning my eye sight and my health. He has showed me that apart from Him, I can do nothing, that He is in control of every area of my life and that I don't have to fear what may come my way each day, month, or year. Thank you, Lord, for always being there. I love you!
Here are some pictures of the "momentous" b-day... :)
First picture: I don't even remember what Andy was talking about, but the contrast between him and me makes me laugh every time I see it!
Playing croquet - a family favorite.
Yum! Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough cheesecake for dessert {and yes, I do make my own birthday cake/dessert every year! I know I'm crazy, but I love to do it. :) }
That's it for now; I hope you all have a great evening!

Ice Cream!
One of our favorite places to go for hot weather relief - the End of the Commons General Store in Mesopotamia. They have the most delicious home-churned flavors and it's always such a treat to go there. The most daring ice cream eater that night? Andy, of course; he had peach and black cherry on the same cone. Yuck! (I took the safe route with blueberry cheesecake - Yum!)
I love the chocolatey remain on Josiah's upper lip! :) (Don't they look like they're sick of having pictures taken of them? :)
Good times.

Jr./Sr. - 5/15/09
Well, I guess I have to start from the beginning of my summer, since I haven't been faithful in blogging lately. I have decided to try and post at least one picture either every day, or every other day, depending on the day's craziness! This is getting silly by not posting for you guys. :)
I'll start from the beginning, and try to get to the present as quickly as possible!
Jr./Sr. is up first! Brandon Martz asked me to go and I had so much fun; The junior class of MCS hosted the banquet at Cappelli's at Comfort Inn in Mentor and afterward a bunch of us went to Brandon's house for a bonfire. The people in the pictures are Brandon and I (of course!), Elizabeth and John, and Sarai (her date met up with us later). What an extremely fun group we make...:) (Sorry if anyone in these pictures is embarrassed by me putting these up - hehe!)
Thanks Brandon...fun times!

P.S. Sorry the pictures came before every thing that I wrote. I clicked some wrong button...whoops!

A Sad Day for the USA
This post from my dad's personal blog has brought to mind the need that our nation has. We need to be increasingly praying each day for the Lord to work in this country and in the hearts of our president and all others in governmental positions. Please take time to read this article and pray along with my family and other Christians around the globe, that we would see a revival in the hearts of our fellow Americans.
