Busy...

Life's been pretty crazy lately, but I just keep telling myself that I have only a few weeks left of school! I feel bad that I haven't been posting for you guys lately, but I know I'll have a ton more time to be creative once school is over for the year.

Here's a picture from one of my favorite movies, Amazing Grace. This is such a wonderfully encouraging film and I would encourage you to check it out from the library if you haven't already viewed it. :) In it, William Wilberforce urges the members of Parliament to abolish slavery and in turn, weathered an incredible journey.

I thought I would post a recipe that I've enjoyed making recently, for the bakers out there to try. Let me know if you like it! :)

{Wyoming Whopper Cookies}
I came across this recipe when I was reading an Amish cookbook. This makes a TON of dough, so make sure you have a big enough bowl... :)

2/3 c. butter (1 stick plus 2 2/3 T. butter - I know...crazy!)
3/4 c. sugar
1 1/4 c. brown sugar
3 beaten eggs
1 1/2 c. chunky style peanut butter
6 c. old fashioned oats, not quick
2 t. soda
1 1/2 c. raisins
1-12 oz. pkg. chocolate chips

Melt butter over low heat (or in the microwave). Blend in sugars, eggs, and peanut butter. Mix until smooth. Add oats, soda, raisins, and chocolate chips. Mixture will be sticky. Drop on greased baking sheet with an ice cream dipper or large spoon. Flatten slightly. Bake at 350 degrees for about 15 minutes for large cookies 3" in diameter. Enjoy!

{Notes: I used smooth peanut butter and omitted the raisins, increasing the amount of chocolate chips slightly. I also used parchment paper instead of greasing the sheets. After the first day (which is when I think they're best), they're also scrumptious popped in the microwave for 10 seconds...yum! }

Later!

Still...

Still wishing and wanting to go to Greece.

Still thankful that today was my last filling at the dentist's (man, I hate those numbing shots).

Still love the dentist in spite of the shots.

Still cleaning my room.

Still adoring anything vintage.

Still hoping that I'll be able to catch up on emails this weekend.

Still excited that my aunt's having a baby. :)

Still trying to grow like Christ.

Still having gobs of fun with my camera.

Still baking too many sweets (oh well...).

Still love to get dressed up, even if it's just going out to dinner.

Still wishing it was spring...

What are you still doing?
