New 'Do

For those of you that haven't seen me in a while, here are some pictures of my new look. :) I got my hair cut a couple of weeks ago, and my Aunt Becki was over, so we took my new camera out, and took some pictures of my new haircut. {As you can tell, it was a beautiful day to be out. :) } I hope you all are doing well. I miss you terribly... Have a great Friday evening!

Yesterday my alarm went off and I peered my eyes open, looking out the window; I was shocked to see pure white! It's been in the high 50s for a few days, so I knew that it was impossible that it was snow. After sitting up, I realized it was fog, and it was gorgeous. I waited 3 seconds, just staring, before I realized I had to get out there and start taking pictures before it was gone forever. I got dressed in 15 seconds and stepped outside, encased in cloud, the cool air hitting my "still warm from sleep" skin. I can't even tell you how amazing it was to be out there, all by myself,
no one else at all. There was a little bit of frost that crunched underneath my boots, the doves were mourning, and, walking through the woods and the field, I could hear all of the animals scurrying around, waking up slowly too. I saw spiders' webs, trees shrouded in coffins of seeping fog, and birds, calling from their places in the unfolding drama. My eyes cannot do the Lord justice in his creation, at all. What amazing things He gives us, something new each and every day. What did He do for you today? Just something to think about. :)
Hope you all have a great evening.

Thanks!

Every time I look at these pictures, I am so amazed, and so filled with awe by how artistic our God is. I took these a couple years ago (no, our mums aren't out yet this year) but I thought they would be a happy thing to look at as we're waiting for spring. It's coming folks! We just have to be patient. :)
Thanks to those who were praying for me while I was going through those 2 stress-filled weeks with drivers' ed, work, and school. Your prayers were/are so much appreciated! The second week was a lot better than the first (which is a praise) and the Lord helped strengthen me right through them. Thanks so much!

My Precious Lydi-bug

I was uploading some new picture-editing software on the computer and came across this tear-jerker. Lydia is so precious to me and I hope to see her grow up to be a young girl that is always striving to please the Lord. I thank Him for her everyday. I love you, Lydia, and I always will.

My New Toy

If I've talked to you anytime the past couple months, I've probably mentioned the fact that I'm looking around at professional SLR cameras. Well, yesterday my family and I went out to dinner (an amazing treat, by the way - someone gave us gift certificates and we were ecstatic!) in Niles which is a city that has about every store imaginable. :) We weren't planning on going shopping, but Dad asked if I was ready to buy a camera. Even though it was spur-of-the-moment, I'd already done my research and so I was pretty confidant (and excited). "Let's do this," I thought. :) We went to Best Buy and low and behold, there was the camera of my dreams: the new Nikon D90, hot off the manufacturer's line! However, this particular camera was quite a bit more money than I had seen in my research and I didn't really want to part with that much, so I down graded just slightly and got their previous model. What a beaut! I was literally screaming and hyperventilating in the car; I've waited soooo long for this day to come! Hooray!
They should have my baby in the store tomorrow, so Dad's going to be a dear and pick it up for me while I'm working at the library and taking my drivers' ed classes in the evening. When I come home, it'll be waiting for me on my bed. (I don't think it knows what it's getting into...) :)
Well, I hope you all are well and looking forward to spring as much as I am! Have a great evening! -AG
