I have decided to randomly take pictures of some of my favorite things and post them periodically. If you love the item in the picture, too, or if you don't particularly like it, share something about why you do or don't and we'll see how close we come to liking the same things! :)
My first item is a picture of Easter M&M's. I thought I couldn't go wrong with chocolate, but let me know if you're one of the weird people in this world that truly don't like chocolate. (collective gasp!)
The bunny rabbit M&M's are my absolute favorite (they're so stinkin' cute!) and I always pick them out first! Which ones do you like best, or do you shove a fistful in your mouth without even bothering to look at what you have, just being content with the fact that it's chocolate? :) Well, I hope this doesn't make you want to raid the candy jar...sorry! Hope you have a great evening! - AG

What a Day!
Well, as most of you know, we had a pretty huge wind storm last night. I woke up in the middle of the night to the howling of the wind and the moaning of the trees (those are some of my favorite sounds; I don't know why - maybe because it reminds me of how powerful God is!), and relized our power was off. "Great," I thought. So it was a restless end of the night (why is that? You know that the power is off so you can't sleep; it doesn't really make sense to me... :) ). Our power was off until about 6:00 this evening and we are thanking the Lord that it has stayed on ever since. That's why I'm writing (again!) to say I'll get pictures up tomorrow, but I think that I'm not going to say that this time, because every time that I do, I never get the chance! :) So, I'll do it as a surprise!
Well, my apple cake (recipe courtesy of Miss Bethany Ring :) is almost ready to come out of its fiery chamber and cool off, so with that I bid you adieu.
Praying that you are all safe and sound after this storm,
-AG
(P.S. Here's the cake recipe; I thought I'd post it because it's to yummy and to easy!)
Apple Cake
3 eggs, beaten
2 c. sugar
1/2 c. oil
2 tsp. vanilla
2 c. flour
2 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 tsp. salt
Mix above ingredients together. Add 4 cups unpeeled diced apples and 1 cup walnuts (opt.). Bake at 350 degrees in a 9x13 inch pan for 50 to 60 minutes. Cool.
Frosting:
2 (3-oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened
1/4 c. butter or margarine, softened
1 1/2 c. powdered sugar
1/2 tsp. vanilla
Mix and cream the above ingredients together. Spread on cooled cake and enjoy!

Oh, what a gorgeous day! I hope you all got to go out and enjoy the sunshine and warmth on your skin like I had the privilege of doing. :) When I was doing school this morning, I decided to open up my windows and the smell of spring washed over everything! I think that's one of my most favorite things during the year - the first smell of spring. It's coming!
Well, tomorrow is a busy, busy day. Thursday's are always our piano lesson days, so after school, and lunch, Mrs. Inks comes and gives us our lesson for the week. Then it's off to work for me and grocery shopping for everyone else (except for Dad - he still has to work. :) Sorry Dad, no time off for you! he-he). Lord willing, the weather won't be to bad for driving tomorrow, seeing as we're supposed to get some snow...we'll see. :)
Speaking of driving, Dad and I are still honing in on my driving skills. Hopefully I'll be able to start driving to Middlefield (going to my job) next week; that'll get my needed hours in pretty quickly, if I keep at it!
Well, I'd better turn in for the night. I've been having trouble with posting pictures, but I'm going to try to do some tomorrow (if I can acquire Dad's helpful assistance! :). Have a great evening; talk to you later!
